LMEHA History

Our History

The Lower Mill Homeowners Association (LMEHA) started life in October 2001 as the Mill Village Homeowners Association (MVHA) when there were only 20 or so houses occupied on the estate. The MVHA was formed by some of the original occupants of the Lower Mill Estate and their principal objective was to further the common interests of its members and maintain and improve amenities affecting those members.

From its earliest days, the MVHA was an important communication conduit between its members. The temporary nature of occupation on the estate meant that often people visited at different times and the MVHA allowed people to share and find solutions to common problems.

As the estate expanded and Clearwater Village was built in 2004/5, it was agreed to include the whole estate and not just a part of it, so the name and constitution of the MVHA were changed to incorporate the new villages and it became the Lower Mill Homeowners Association (LMEHA).

In 2019, the association was incorporated into a limited company. Find out more about this in the Members’ zone.
